Nanny Hourly Rates

Our recruitment fees cover the search, screening, shortlisting, reference checks, and placement support provided by The Care Collective. Your nanny’s ongoing hourly wage is separate from our agency fee and is paid directly by you as the employer.

As a general guide, experienced nannies are currently seeking approximately $35.00 to $50.00 per hour, depending on the role requirements. Rates may vary based on the nanny’s experience, the number and ages of children, location, hours, responsibilities, and whether additional household or family assistant duties are included.

Managing Your Nanny’s Pay

When employing a nanny directly, you will be responsible for ensuring their pay and employment arrangements are managed correctly. This includes wages, superannuation, tax obligations, employment agreements, insurance, and any required reporting.

Families may choose to manage this independently. Alternatively, for a more streamlined experience, The Care Collective is partnered with a trusted payroll provider who can assist with the setup and ongoing management of your nanny’s payroll. This can include pay processing, superannuation, tax, and required reporting.

We will guide you through the process, provide the relevant templates and support, and help ensure everything is set up clearly from the beginning, so you can move forward with confidence.
