Our Screening Process

At The Care Collective, we follow a comprehensive screening process to ensure families are paired with trustworthy, responsible, and compassionate caregivers.

Application

Sitters begin by submitting an application through our secure online platform.

Phone Interview

Candidates who meet our initial criteria are invited for a phone interview to discuss their childcare experience, qualifications, and other relevant skills.

In Person Interview

We conduct an in depth face to face interview to thoroughly assess each candidate’s character, personality, and problem solving abilities. We also assess proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

The Care Collective Modules

All babysitters must successfully complete and pass our comprehensive in-house training modules prior to commencing employment with The Care Collective.

Reference Check

References are meticulously reviewed to assess the candidate’s reliability, punctuality, and past performance in childcare roles.

Social Media Review

We evaluate the candidate’s social media presence to ensure they align with the values and professionalism expected from our caregivers.

Background Check

Successful candidates undergo a comprehensive background check, including criminal history, driving records, and sex offender registry checks.

CPR & First Aid Certification

All caregivers must be certified in CPR and First Aid before joining The Care Collective team, ensuring they are prepared for any emergency.
